The Musquodoboit Harbour Railway Museum is run by the Musquodoboit Harbour Heritage Society, a dedicated team of volunteers. It is the work of this group, partnerships with other local volunteer partner organizations, and the generosity of our community, that has seen the museum grow and thrive over these past fifty years. This season, as we ease back into a regular schedule and lineup of events, we would appreciate your help more than ever!
Specifically, we have unique and flexible volunteer opportunities for all ages and skills, including;
Fundraising & Special Events
Help serve at one of our Heritage Teas, sell tickets for special promotions at the Farmers Market on Sundays, help plan our Gala Dinner, and more!
Museum Maintenance & Groundskeeping
Help revive the glory of our station, grounds and rail cars! It takes a little elbow grease to keep this place on track and looking neat as a pin. Help with planting, pruning, painting, raking, building, and more!
Are you interested in volunteering as an heritage animator? We're looking for finely dressed 1920's folk (and their families) to wait on the platform and watch for the train, as well as a boisterous conductor or two to call out the occasional 'All Aboard!' and 'Tickets! Tickets!'. Costumes and complimentary ice cream cones provided.
Your contribution will add so much to the vitality of our operation. Fill out a volunteer application form, today!
